Sega expands licensing team

Sega Europe will up the ante of its licensing program this year, securing new merchandising deals for its hottest properties, such as Sonic The Hedgehog.

To drive this renewed effort, the publisher has hired Sissel Henno as head of licensing. She will head up the department, working with current partners such as Tomy and GB Eye, as well as reaching out to new ones.

I’m very excited to become a part of the SEGA team and to grow the licensing activities around these fantastic brands,” commented Sissel Henno.

The celebration of Sonic’s 20th Anniversary this year is a great way to kick start my new assignment and I’m looking forward to working with the existing licensees as well as any new partners that we can welcome to the licensing program.”

Henno boasts more than a decade of experience in the marketing and licensing industry, having worked at 4Kids Entertainment, Classic Media and more.
