No always-on DRM for Bulletstorm

Reports that Bulletstorm would feature always-on DRM have been proven false.

The End User License Agreement for the digitally distributed edition of the game on PC claims that consumers will require a persistent internet connection” in order to play, according to Destructoid.

However, Blue News reports that the game’s creative director Adrian Chmielarz clarified the matter via Twitter, explaining that Bulletstorm PC does not require any constant connection, only for install and online play”.

The use of always-on DRM has proven to be controversial among consumers since Ubisoft introduced the system last year. The publisher has since withdrawn the feature from key releases.

Bulletstorm publisher EA has previously used a similar DRM system for Command & Conquer 4.
