PES series hits 69m sales

The Pro Evolution Soccer series has sold roughly 69 million units worldwide.

This achievement was revealed in Konami’s latest financial results, in which the publisher reported a decrease in the losses it had suffered across the board.

The report highlighted PES 2011 as one of the company’s key sales drivers, adding that the game further expands the scope of game playing in the latest title of the popular series that boasts total global sales that exceed 68.8 million units”.

Konami also reported that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been well received by long-term fans of the series”.
