EA cancels My Garden

Publisher EA has announced the cancellation of 3DS title My Garden.

That’s according to Joystiq who says the announcement was made in New York yesterday.

The game was first revealed last September at the Tokyo Game Show and was at the time pitched as a launch game for Nintendo’s machine.

The game was hosted by Tanuki, a guide who serves to help the player become an expert gardener”. Six environments were included, as well as 300 collectable plants each of which attracted a different type of animal.

Once a garden was designed players were free to travel around their garden and take pictures. Their ability with the camera served to unlock more content in the title.

No reason for the cancellation has yet been given, though early previews of the game were less than encouraging.
