MCV AWARDS 2011: PR & Marketing finalists

Nominations for the PR & Marketing at the MCV Industry Excellence Awards show key games companies and new games brands battling it out for prestigious prizes.

The full list of finalists can be found below.

Nine of Microsoft’s 11 total nominations for this years awards are in this category – it’s present in six of the seven award finalists listings below.

Key nominations include three slots in New Games Brand (for Alan Wake, Dance Central and Kinect Sports), plus two in Best Use of Social Media (for the Fable III Kingmaker app and Kinect Galleries). It’s also nominated for Trade Marketing Team, PR Team, Marketing Team and Halo: Reach is in Game Campaign.

There are six nominations for Ubisoft, which has a New Game Brand nomination for Dance on Broadway, mention in the Trade Marketing Team, PR Team and Marketing Team, plus nominations in Best Use of Social Media (Just Dance 2) and Game Campaign (Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood).

Nintendo also does well, with five nods – a New Game Brand nomination for Art Academy, Game Campaign praise for Mario 25th Anniversary, plus placings in Trade Marketing Team, PR Team and Marketing team.
