Rumours of big job cuts at SOE

Sony Online Entertainment has closed down three of its studios and made sweeping redundancies across the company, according to unsubstantiated rumours.

News site Kotaku claims the firm has closed studios in Seattle, Arizona and Denver. The website claimed that nearly one-third” of Sony Online Entertainment had been axed across the US studios.

Develop understand that SOE’s workforce had grown to over 700 people, before the alledged cuts.

Eurogamer adds that long-awaited PS3 spy shooter The Agency could be facing the chop as a result of the move.
