New 3DS bundles incoming

Publisher Ubisoft and platform holder Nintendo will this October release a 3DS hardware bundle containing portable titles, MCV can reveal.

According to the information, which comes from a leaked release schedule from a leading distributor, the pair will on October 1st launch a new SKU containing the console as well as copies of Splinter Cell 3D and upcoming release Driver Renegade.

Both the cosmic black and aqua blue versions of the machine will be offered.

It’s unclear what price the bundles will retail for.

UPDATE: Both Nintendo and Ubisoft have confirmed to MCV that there are no plans in place for these bundles. They could yet appear on the High Street not as an officially sanctioned bundle but perhaps as a retailer-centric promotion.
