UBISOFT: Beyond Good & Evil 2 skips 360, PS3

Beyond Good & Evil 2 won’t be released on Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii, Ubisoft development veteran Michel Ancel has confirmed.

The follow-up to the multiformat 2003 action adventure game will instead arrive on the next generation of consoles.

It is still alive and we are very far into development so we can’t go back now,” Ancel told Gamesindustry.biz.

We are targeting the next generation of consoles.”

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first announced in the form of a trailer over three years ago at a Ubisoft showcase.

Earlier this year the publisher re-released a HD version of the original Beyond Good & Evil on Xbox 360.
