SONY: Move confirmed for BioShock Infinite

Ken Levine has confirmed that BioShock Infinite will be compatible with PlayStation Move.

During Sony’s E3 press conference, the Big Daddy of BioShock anecdotally described how the platform holder requested a meeting after he was interviewed about motion controls.

I had expressed some scepticism about the very concept motion control and I said some uncharitable things about PlayStation Move,” said Levine, creative director for irrational games.

I then met Sony, who said ‘Ken, we want to make you a believer. We want to remove this barrier of entry to people who love your story but can’t get their head around normal controls.’ So they sent us a PlayStation Move.

Once we got past the initial anxiety about how our game would translate to Move, we started to see other ways that we could use it to interact with the world and Elizabeth. We’re just starting to get our head around what that can mean.”

Further details on how BioShock Infinite will use PlayStation Move will be revealed at a later date.

Levine also confirmed that his team is working on a project for Vita – a game confirmed by SCEA boss Jack Tretton minutes later to be another foray into the BioShock universe.
