Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer still refuses to budge from the upper reaches of the chart, finishing 2006 in second position. Activision’s Call Of Duty 3 slips one place to five, while THQ’s WWE Smackdown! Vs Raw 2007 holds its position in six. Microsoft’s Gears Of War continues to prove its appeal by climbing one place to seven.
Rockstar’s playground romp Canis Canem Edit benefits from the post-Christmas price slashing by jumping from 16 to eight. Nintendo’s Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training drops one place to nine, with THQ’s Cars finishing off the top ten.
Elsewhere, other games follow Canis Canem’s lead by making huge jumps after reductions at retail. Eidos’ Tomb Raider: Legend leaps 26 places from 39 to 13, while EA’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 bounces back from 22 to take 12th position.
Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: Wild World, Vivendi’s The Simpsons Hit & Run, THQ’s Zoo Tycoon DS, THQ’s Saints Row, Eidos’ Just Cause, Sony’s Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party and TT Games’ Lego Star Wars all make re-entries into the top 40.
It’s not such a good week for Midway’s Happy Feet, which drops from seven to 21, or Eidos’ Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Party Edition, which moves from 14 to 23.
