eSports could hit a new milestone next month when the League of Legends 2014 World Championship takes place in South Korea.

Riot Games' EVP of eSports Dustin Beck told Polygon that the Grand Final, scheduled to take place in Seoul on October 19th, is expected to sell out the Sangam Stadium.

That venue has a capacity of 65,000, although after the staging is put in place the capacity on the night will likely sit at around 45,000.

"Our early ticket sales have all sold out,” Beck said. “We're trying to create more capacity and flexibility, but so far so good."

The 2013 World Championship successfully sold out the Staples Center in LA last year, selling over 12,000 tickets. Bear in mind that the online audience topped 32m, with a peak of 8.5m concurrent viewers.

League of Legends has also previously sold out London’s Wembley Arena with an audience of over 10,000 people.
