505 thanks retail for Sniper chart success

Publisher 505 Games is toasting retail this week as Sniper Elite V2 hit the top of the charts.

The shooter was comfortably the biggest seller, besting action rival Prototype 2.505 says the game’s success was due to the ‘amazing’ support from its retail partners, which included GAME in Milton Keynes dressing up for the title’s launch (pictured).

We are delighted that Sniper Elite V2 has gone straight in at No.1 in the All Formats Chart this week,” said 505 Games marketing director Alison Greagsby.

Our strong campaign was totally supported by our retail partners, who really got behind Sniper Elite V2 to help build the anticipation.

The roll-out at store is key for any title, whether it’s a virtual store or traditional bricks and mortar.

Whilst our online partners did an amazing job building the pre-orders, traditional retail played their part and created the theatre from the day of launch which make launches like Sniper Elite V2 very exciting.

Store staff at GAME Milton Keynes went that extra mile to create additional noise for launch weekend, which is really important for titlessuch as this.”
