A4T signs EA licensing agreement

Peripherals specialist A4T has signed a three-year license deal with EA.

Announced at CES, the agreement will see the firm produce a range of accessories under the EA Sports label, including fitness products for the EA Sports Active brand. Accessories will be made available for all platforms including the iPod.

We have steadily been increasing our focus on the licensed side of our business over the last couple of years and now believe that we have struck the ideal partnership with the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company," said A4T MD Andrew Shephard.

"This in turn will allow us to develop and produce a range of quality and innovative accessory products specifically designed to support and enhance some of the biggest and best known titles available at retail.”

A4T sales and marketing director Bill Stirling added: Our new relationship with EA really does open up some amazing opportunities to bring to market a range of realistic products to compliment some of EA’s best known sport titles, whilst adding a bit more fun and realism to the game play along the way.”

As well as having exclusive rights to the UK and Ireland, A4T will also distribute EA Sports branded products into Iberia, Nordic, Australasia and emerging markets.
