Aardvark Swift to sponsor Breakthrough Talent Award at the Women in Games Awards 2017

MCV, Develop and eSports Pro are happy to announce Aardvark Swift as category partner for the Women in Games Awards 2017. The recruitment company will be sponsoring the Breakthrough Talent Award, one of eight awards up for grabs on the night.

"If we’re going to make the UK games industry more gender diverse, we need to encourage more girls and young women to pursue Computer Science, Games Development and Games Art/Animation as a career," said Aardvark Swift’s Ian Goodall.

"By partnering with Women in Games to bring you this award, we want to shine the spotlight on the best up-and-coming female games developers. We want to inspire young girls at school to take an interest in programing and game art, and young women who’re filling in UCAS applications. We want to show them that a career in games is a real thing and that it’s within their reach."

Taking place on Friday May 19th at the Cavendish Conference Centre in London, the Women in Games Awards 2017 will see MCV, Develop and eSports Pro celebrate the plethora of female talent in the games industry across eight individual awards.

This year’s categories include New Development Talent, Creative Impact, Rising Star, Businesswoman of the Year, Career Mentor, eSports Contender, Outstanding Contribution and the aforementioned Breakthrough Talent.
