Midway's European managing director Tony Adams will step down from his role after the E3 trade show in Los Angeles.
MCV understands that Adams (pictured) is looking to return to the successful games industry consultancy he was running prior to joining the US publisher in August 2002.
His spell has seen a steadying of the Midway ship in Europe, with improved financial performance and the introduction of more titles suited to markets outside of the US.
The period also saw over a million copies of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance sold in Europe and the creation of a dedicated German operation.
A new managing director will be announced within the next couple of weeks.
