Consumers can now use their Amazon accounts to purchase virtual goods and in-game currency on titles sold in the retailer's App Store.
Developers creating software for the store can now incorporate in-app payments and microtransactions into their games, according to Joystiq.
Payment options include any credit cards, gift certificates or store credit they may have on Amazon.
In-app items and currency will even be listed on Amazon.com and be counted in best-seller lists and recommendations, making it easier for consumers to discover the content.
The business model can be worked into any titles for Mac, PC, Android and of course the Amazon-owned Kindle Fire.
According to Amazon's site for developers, studios will receive 70 per cent of the money taken by each in-app purchase.
