Amazon App Store arrives in UK

Amazon’s Android App Store has begun rolling out world wide after the service first launched in the US in March.

Amazon have yet to officially announce the move but a number of Amazon customers have reported that the firm’s Android shop is taking orders in Europe and in Australia.

The Amazon Appstore differs from Google’s official Android Marketplace in that the retail giant needs to approve software before it appears for purchase, potentially reducing the risk of malware which has struck the free-for-all Marketplace on more than one occasion.
