Retailer Amazon has apologised to customers who found that their copies of Nintendo land were missing from their Premium Wii U bundles.
Videogamer reports that Amazon has blamed supplier error” for the gaffe and that only a small number” of customers were affected.
It won’t, however, be replacing the game directly – instead it has mailed out download codes for Nintendo Land to all customers who purchased the SKU, regardless of whether or not the game was missing.
"It’s been brought to our attention that a small number of orders for this item may have been delivered without the advertised game, Nintendo Land, due to supplier error," an email to customers confirmed.
"In the event that your order was one of the small number missing the game, please use the following code and instructions below, to download the game."
The move may yet leave some customers dissatisfied, though, as downloading the game will take up a chunk of the console’s 29GB available storage space and expedite the need for consumers to add to the machine’s storage through external memory.
