Angry Birds rules PC budget Christmas charts

Angry Birds Star Wars was the No.1 UK PC budget game over Christmas.

Focus Multimedia – which claims to have held 25 per cent of the budget-priced PC market in December – told MCV last year it was confident Angry Birds would top the Christmas charts.

It is the second year in a row that a Focus/Rovio title has been the best-selling game of its category in December.

Even though 2012 was a challenging year for many, people still want to be entertained,” said Focus MD Craig Johnson.

The demanding climate makes our successes even more satisfying, and we look forward to a more prosperous, successful 2013.”
