Asda Living games dream with new chain

After a successful 18 month trial, the Wal-Mart owned retailer is forging ahead with plans for 15 new out of town Asda Living stores by the end of 2006.

“All of the Living stores are still in their infancy, but there’s definite room for games to grow in that format,” Asda music and games buying manager Nick Chilcott told MCV.

“It has gone well so far, it is performing in line with expectations and there’s been strong hardware sales in particular. Games provides some excitement – there is something new every week. It’s a core part of the non-food offer and it has continued to grow.”
