As part of yesterday’s positive financial filing from Ubisoft, it was confirmed that the much-rumoured Assassin’s Creed 2 is in development and will be out before the end of the publisher’s financial year – or more likely – in time for Christmas.

Along with the new Altair title, it was also confirmed that the long-awaited and much-delayed Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction and a brand new instalment to the Ghost Recon franchise will also be out by March 31st 2010 at the latest.

It was also announced that I Am Alive has been delayed from Q1 2009 until the same timeframe as the aforementioned titles.

Also touted for release this year was a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, James Cameron’s Avatar and three other licence-based games.
