Sony is beating its chest after hitting a brand new sales milestone in Australia.
The next-gen console has now hit 850k sales in the region, and SCE Australia head Michael Ephraim told GameSpot that he believes that the console will pass the 1m sales barrier by the end of 2010.
Furthermore, PS3 may have already passed its fierce rival Xbox 360 in the country. In April Microsoft revealed that combined sales of Xbox in both Australia and New Zealand had passed 1m units. The standalone Xbox 360 figure is unknown,
Australian Wii sales to date have hit 1.7m.
Ephraim also admitted that sales of PSPgo have been lower than expected, sitting somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000.
