The Anime and Videogames Convention (AVCon) is set to have its biggest year yet this weekend at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
This year is AVCon's retro-themed 10th year, and it's hoping to pull 10'000 people through its doors, growing from 8'000 in 2010.
Running over Saturday and Sunday, attendees can view work by local artists, indie games in The Indie Games Room, free play any games on display, participate in gaming or tournaments, or browse exhibitors' stalls.
Special Guests will include Tom Killen (co-founder of The Voxel Agents), Mathew Edmonson (Manic Games) and Alexander Bruce (Antichamber and Hazard: The Journey of Life).
Chris Johnson, Indie Games Room contributor, told MCV: "We have more games than the last three years combined and three times as many panels and talks. With such a strong showing, we are expecting this year to be a huge success."
