There’s no let-up this week as the triple-A new releases continue to come thick and fast, and this time it’s the turn of Batman: Arkham City to get the trade-in discount treatment.
And once again it’s HMV that has delivered the most appetising offer.
The retailer will sell consumers a copy of the Dark Knight’s latest outing for a meagre 99p as long as they trade-in a copy of either Forza Motorsport 4 or Rage.
Its standalone price for the game will be £37.99. The retailer also points out that it will be selling Sega’s Football manager 2012 for just £27.99, too.
GAME, meanwhile, is selling Batman for a still very competitive £4.99 to those who trade-in wither Forza 4, Gears of War 3, X-Men Destiny or FIFA 12.

All very well telling us about the stupid trade in offers but when I see a story called "Batman: Arkham City - where's cheapest?" I kinda expect something telling me the cheapest places to buy the game - not with trade ins! Maybe you should have called this "Batman: Arkham City - where's cheapest with trade-ins?"

Keep these deals coming! I bought Gears of War 3, finished it, paid £4.99 for FIFA after trading it, thought it was poor, got Rage for £4.99 when trading FIFA, finsihed Rage, got Forza for a fiver and can now trade in the completed X-Men Destiny and get Batman for a fiver. I daresay if I finish Batman I will get a similar deal on Battlefield, then Modern Warfare, then Assassins Creed and finally Zelda. It's the cheapest way to play the newest games I've come across - especially with the option to keep one that I like.
