Warner has announced some exclusive content that will only be available to customers who pre-order Batman: Arkham City from GAME or Gamestation.

The Tim Drake Robin pack offers Robin as a playable character in a “new and improved challenge mode” for the title.

Robin himself offers a number of unique gadgets and special moves. He can be used in every challenge pack, as well as in two additional maps only available as part of the exclusive DLC.

The SKU will also include a bonus Red Robin character skin.

Batman: Arkham City will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 21st.

I would argue that extra content for games being made exclusive to specialist retailers such as Game, HMV etc is almost as damaging to the independent sector as un-competitive price slashing.

All this varied exclusive content with different retailers is actually making me not want to pre-order the game... I'll just wait for the inevitable GotY edition next year and get it all included from the off.

Why is it that Indies never get exclusives from Publishers - We always get the standard edition to everything - Our customers will not pre-order any game now because they wait to see if its cheaper at the supermarket and wait to see whos got the best DLC. And Centresoft & gem wonder why we don't get our games from them anymore. By buying our games on amazon and supermarkets we get cheaper trade prices and exclusive DLC to offer what customers are left
