Battlefield 3 appears on torrent sites

As is sadly quite often the case before a big new release nowadays, the release of EA’s Battlefield 3 has been sullied by the game’s arrival on illegal torrent sites.

A 9.96GB download is already doing the rounds that allows pirates complete access to the game’s single player mode on PC.

There’s no sign yet of an illegal Xbox 360 version.

Battlefield 3 is undoubtedly one of this Q4’s biggest releases, with EA pulling out all the stops to steal as much market share as possible from its extremely high-profile rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Battlefield 3 will be released in the US on October 25th and in the UK a few days later on October 28th.
