Battlefield 3 community video celebrates launch

EA has released a tightly cut video of the recent media and community event for Battlefield 3 held in Sydney, commemorating the game's local launch.

The event had special guests Lars Gustavsson and Daniel Matros from DICE, who stayed local for the EB EXPO shortly afterwards. The pair presented Battlefield to media and hosted a community event at night which included people having their faces scanned in for photo ops and a Frostbite 2 logo being carved out of ice.

EA have kicked it up a notch by releasing a video today to coincide with the game's launch. It showcases the event highlights with some snippets of the action and talks from the DICE team. You can check the video out here.

Battlefield 3 is out now, and the first reviews are very encouraging. It is available for PS3 and 360 (AUD$109.95 or NZD$119.95), and PC (AUD$89.95 or NZD$99.95).
