Big three throw weight behind Gadget Show Live Christmas

Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony will exhibit at Gadget Show Live Christmas with their largest ever public showing since 2004.

Each of the platform-holders have committed to large-scale stands at the event next month, with plans to build their biggest presence for a consumer event since the era of ECTS.

Xbox, Wii U and PlayStation will feature in the show’s Game Zone alongside Electronic Arts, and retailers Game and Overclockers.

Gadget Show Live Christmas takes place at ExCeL in London fro, November 30th to December 2nd.

It is the sister show to Gadget Show Live, which has been held annually at the Birmingham NEC each Easter since 2009, attracting more than 300,000 consumers in that time. Over 150 companies are expected to show off the latest tech.

But the games focus in particular has grown considerably.

We are overwhelmed by the support the games industry has shown to the Gadget Show Live Christmas,” said Matt Hodgins, event director, Gadget Show Live Christmas.

We believe this is the first time in many, many years that all three console manufacturers have exhibited at such a large scale at the same public event in the UK and we are honoured to provide them with a vehicle to reach up to 30,000 gamers in the key pre-Christmas selling period.

Electronic Arts has already confirmed its presence and we will soon be announcing some additional publishers offering free to play access to some of the biggest titles released this year.”

Xbox will be showing its key titles for Christmas; Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Fable The Journey, Dance Central 3, Nike+ Kinect Training and the Xbox Live services.

Wii U is the priority for Nintendo, and right on time – Gadget Show Live Christmas launches on the opening day of the Gadget Show Live Christmas.

PlayStation will present Wonderbook, plus other PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles on its stand.

The area will also host a Gaming Stage for demos, challenges and large-scale multiplayer sessions.

Electronic Arts is showcasing Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and the multimillion selling FIFA 13.
