Bohemia raises $50k for Red Cross with Arma III Karts DLC

Arma III’s April Fools’ Day joke turned content add-on has brought in 1m Czech koruna – around $50k USD – for the Czech Red Cross.

Developer Bohemia Interactive announced the milestone in a release on its website, and also discussed the success of the military shooter franchise’s new approach to DLC.

Alongside helping us to evaluate Arma 3’s new approach to DLC, with the backing of our community, Arma 3 Karts has managed to raise money for a great cause", Arma III creative director Jay Crowe said.

"A big thanks to our players, both for their support and their valuable feedback, which we’ll use to refine our implementation. Overall, we’re positive about the preliminary results and responses, which seems to benefit Arma 3 players and help sustain Arma 3 development.”

The Arma 3 Karts DLC will remain on sale moving forward at 1.49 EUR / 1.99 USD / 1.19 GBP, with a portion of the proceeds continuing to add to the charity’s total.
