Boxed Angry Birds smashes onto consoles

Boxed Angry Birds console games are landing at retail next year accompanied by a line of official accessories.

The titles are due on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo 3DS and could be here as soon as February.Impact Global Solutions has acquired the rights to produce and distribute over ten peripherals for the game, including branded 3DS car chargers, ear buds and cases, as well as headsets for 360 and PS3.

There will also be an Angry Birds controller and HDMI cable available.

Although the game has yet to receive an official release date, IGS tells MCV it will coincide with the accessories’ launch. The firm aims to manufacture these in January and ship by late February.

IGS CEO Martin Richards said: We are delighted to be working with Rovio. The Angry Birds range will be launched in conjunction with Rovio’s release of the games on each associated platform and are available for pre-order now.”
