Bramwell promoted at Eurogamer

Online games network Eurogamer has announced that senior staff member Tom Bramwell has been promoted to the position of operations director.

Eleven years into his role at the company, Bramwell will now oversee the day-to-day running of Eurogamer.net, on which he remains editor-at-large, as well as industry site GamesIndustry.biz and kids’ portal Megaton.co.uk. He’ll also oversee the technology department.

Eurogamer Network MD Rupert Loman will take charge of Eurogamer’s US operations as well as commercial development, partner websites and new product development.

As our longest standing employee, and one who has proven time and again to lead by example and rise to the challenge, we are delighted that Tom will be taking on this new role," Loman stated.

"He has the respect of everyone within the company and will help drive things on as we continue to grow.”

Bramwell said of the news: Every day I’m inspired by the integrity, creativity and ambition of the people I work with, and I know together we can achieve the goals we’ve set ourselves for 2011 and then some. Eleven more years would suit me just fine.”
