Bullish SCi expects profits of £25m

SCi says it based the strong prediction on successful launches of all major products during the financial year, following the acquisition of Eidos in May 2005. Highlighting better-than-expected results on key titles, the publisher reported 2.9 million sales of Tomb Raider: Legend on all formats, and 1.5 million units of Hitman: Blood Money on all formats.

The firm also announced a stepping up of its new release schedule, with 19 new products currently in the pipeline for 2007 – including Tomb Raider 10th Anniversary, Reservoir Dogs and Just Cause. This is compared to nine releases in 2006.

“We are delighted with the progress that the group has made during the year and the successful programme of product launches,” commented Jane Cavanagh, CEO of SCi Entertainment Group. “Looking forward we have an even more extensive portfolio of new products to come to the market and are therefore optimistic about the group’s prospects for the future.”
