Buyers shuffle ahead of busy Q4 period

Former GAME man Simon Reynolds (pictured) will be leaving his current role of commercial director at budget specialist outfit Global Software Publishing to take up the position of trading manager at Entertainment UK on November 7th.

Reynolds will be replacing Alex Vines, who left EUK to move to GAME in the summer.

On the way out of EUK is Brian Foote, who has quit his longtime role as games buyer to move to ambitious supermarket giant Sainsbury’s, where he takes up the reins as games and music buyer.

Change is also brewing at GAME, where buyer Lucy Sant will be leaving on September 27th to pursue interests outside the games industry. The trio of moves continues this summer’s raft of major changes in publishing and retail (MCV 15/7).

Along with senior changes at SCEE, Eidos, Ubisoft, Midway and Codemasters, GAME’s recent Chelsea FC-style recruitment policy has brought in buyers from rivals HMV, Virgin, EUK and Blockbuster.
