Call of Duty 4 dated

Famed for its cinematic interpretations of World War II, Activision’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat, which as the title suggests abandons the 1940’s in favour of contemporary battling, will hit UK and European retail on November 9th, Eurogamer reports.

The news apparently emerged a press event earlier this week, although the official line from the publisher remains that the game will be out this winter.

Call of Duty 4 has been on the receiving end of plenty of praise since it’s recent E3 showing – not only for its stunning next-gen visuals and animation but also for its interesting approach to the FPS genre.
