Call of Duty sales pass 35m

The boss of Activision Publishing boss Mike Griffith has stated that total sales of the Call of Duty titles have now hit an eye-watering 35m units worldwide.

Gamespot adds that 11m of those sales have come from the latest release, World at War.

In addition, the exec also stated that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has managed to keep on selling at full price for six successive sales quarters – which is probably why none of you can ever find it cheap second hand.

Elsewhere in the Activision world, Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime has confirmed that his studio hopes to get upcoming PC RTS StarCraft II onto the market by the end of the year – though he adds that the game will not be released until the team is perfectly happy with it.
