WRITTEN OFF by many, Dixons this week vowed to up its commitment to consoles.
New marketing director Bryan Magrath says he is determined to drive the company forward after a lacklustre 2004 which saw the closure of over 100 stores and a loss of ground within games.
“We have already begun to increase space in-store with the introduction of Nintendo DS,” Magrath (pictured) told MCV. “The chain is now better positioned to exploit the stream of new technologies.
“With further format launches due later this year, we already have plans in place to extend space further.
“You can be assured that we’re always going to have a good range of new titles and back catalogue titles, fully supported by competitive prices.”
