Capcom Europe gets another CEO

The leadership of Capcom Europe has changed once again.

The publisher has announced that Katsuhiko Ichii, a ten-year veteran of the company, is now in place as the CEO of Capcom Europe, having started on April 1st.

He replaces Hiroshi Tobisawa who was only appointed as CEO back in December and is heading back to Japan to pursue other business opportunities”. Tobisawa’s remit is to oversee all European operations, maximise revenue and explore new growth areas.

It is an absolute honour to be joining Capcom Europe and I am excited to be part of the team there,” Ichii said. I look forward to building on Capcom’s recent successful product launches and driving the business further across Europe in the years to come.”

Tobisawa, who had twice headed European operations, replaced former Konami Europe boss Kunio Neo. Neo was preceded by Kazuhiko Abe, who himself replaced Tobisawa in August 2010.
