Capcom has some big, big plans for Remember Me and wants to work with developer Dontnod on turning it into a long-term brand.
The game was the surprise reveal at Capcom’s Gamescom press conference on Tuesday. It is an action adventure title with a female protagonist that must manipulate memories to progress through the game.
And the publisher says it will be 'over-indexing' on the marketing spend to give the game a big chance of success come its launch in May next year.
“When Dontnod showed us their content it really jumped out,” said Capcom’s US and Europe marketing chief Michael Pattison.
“And we couldn’t not work with them. It is to a view that this will be a long-term partnership with them. This is Capcom’s IP. We do intend to work on it for a long time to come.
“It is something that we see as having a long-term future, and we are investing in accordingly.”
Remember Me is an Xbox 360 and PS3 title which launches in May next year,
