Buena Vista Games is taking no prisoners in its bid to become a games publishing force – as it emerged this week that Matt Castle has been poached from longtime partner Ubisoft.
The move has ruffled more than a few feathers at the French publisher. Not only has it lost the man who had headed up sales during a period of huge growth in the UK, but Ubi is still a licensee.
Castle joins Buena Vista Games, the new games arm of Disney, after a prolonged period of garden leave.
BVG would not comment, but he is expected to arrive at the firm’s Hammersmith HQ as head of sales, reporting to UK boss Matt Carroll.
