Cloud9 sign EVO Smash Bros Wii U champion Ally

Cloud9 has signed Elliot "Ally" Bastien Carroza-Oyarce, the current EVO champion of Smash Bros WiI U.

Ally has had his best ever year in 2016, winning EVO and taking first in multiple other events, including the eGames pop up event in Rio last week. Signing for a top organization such as Cloud9 is a result of the hard work he has put in to become one of the best in the world.

Picking up Elliot marks our first venture into a modern Smash title, with his recent top-placing performances at EGLX, GOML2016, EVO2016, and the Rio de Janeiro eGames, we’re confident he will continue to improve and leave a lasting mark on the competitive Smash 4 scene,” read a statement from Cloud 9.

Cloud9 already has Joseph "Mang0" Marquez, who is one of the five gods of Smash Melee, signed to the organisation but the acquisition of Ally marks its entry into the latest Smash iteration. Mang0 is also a former EVO champion, making Cloud9’s small Smash roster one of the strongest in the world.
