To lead the acquisitions programme, Coders’ chairman and CEO David Darling has appointed Peter Zetterberg (pictured) as head of acquisitions. With an industry career spanning 12 years, Zetterberg was previously CEO of Swedish games studio Daydream Software and was founder of UDS. He will lead Codemasters’ acquisitions charge at E3.
“I’m delighted to welcome Peter to Codemasters,” said Darling. “We share a long working history, an entrepreneurial spirit and an ambition to champion new projects that inspire and amaze.”
Last week Codemasters revealed it had secured its future, with venture capitalist firm Benchmark Capital Europe acquiring a 40 per cent stake in the company. As well as new game development it will be used to target new distribution formats such as mobile products.
