Rising Star Games is targeting supermarkets with its next handheld puzzle title, Cradle of Rome 2.
The firm says the title is ‘ideal’ for grocers as it appeals to the more casual shopper.
“Quite simply, Cradle of Rome 2 is your ultimate impulse purchase product,” Rising Star product manager Yen Hau told MCV.
“It has a simple yet addictive and recognisable game mechanic, it is the sequel to one of the best-selling match-three games and has a very appealing price point. All that combined makes it the ideal product for shoppers who are looking for some entertainment while doing their weekly supermarket run.
“We have a strong position with several supermarkets, which stems from the success of Cradle of Rome 2’s predecessor.
“This new game will be supported by both sides to ensure that ample stock is available in-store up to and beyond the Christmas period.”
Cradle of Rome 2 will be released for DS on October 21st. A Cradle of Rome/Cradle of Egypt double pack hit shelves earlier this year.
