Dante goes multi-platform

Despite its stature as a PS2-exclusive series in the previous generation of machines, Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 is to branch out from Sony’s platforms in the future with iterations on Xbox 360 and PC.

Even more significantly, Devil May Cry 4 is set to be released simultaneously on both PS3 and Xbox 360, Next Generation reports. With global sales of seven million units to date, this is a major coup for Microsoft.

“Capcom is committed to making its titles available to as wide an audience as possible, and has been building its technology base to meet that goal,” Capcom U.S. boss Mark Beaumont said. “This announcement means that PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners worldwide will be able to experience the latest instalment of one of Capcom's pillar franchises.”
