"Dark and mature" Star Wars game unveiled

LucasArts has lifted the lid on its mysterious new Star Wars game – and it’s not your typical Force-wielding fare.

Instead, Star Wars 1313 puts players in the role of a bounty hunter on Coruscant as he tries to uncover a criminal conspiracy. The studio promised a "dark and mature" take on the Star Wars universe.

Set on Level 1313, the city planet’s criminal underground, players will have to stalk and eliminate targets using "human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers", according to LucasArts.

"Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we’ve always known existed, but never had a chance to visit," said LucasArts president Paul Meegan.

"We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself."

The game was announced during GTTV’s pre-E3 special. No platforms have been confirmed and no release date has been given.
