Just eleven months on from his departure as the boss of PlayStation Europe, David Reeves has joined Capcom as the COO of its European subsidiary, MCV can reveal.
Beginning tomorrow, Reeves will take charge of all Capcom’s European operations, with his remit being to “maximise potential revenue and explore new areas for growth throughout the region”.
Reeves spent 14 years at Sony, overseeing its growth from gaming start-up to market leader.
“I established a close working relationship with Capcom during my time at Sony and have always admired its commitment to push boundaries and develop innovative titles,” Reeves said of the news.
“It is therefore a real pleasure to now join this organisation and be a part of its future successes.”
The president of Capcom Europe Hiroshi Tobisawa added: “We are very pleased to have secured the services of someone of David’s calibre. He brings with him an unprecedented level of industry knowledge and expertise which will be invaluable as we look to grow our European operation.”
His appointment follows the tragic passing of former European and North American COO last month.
