Following the recent collapse into administration of Scottish developer Vis, DC Studios has snatched the firm’s State of Emergency 2 from the brink of extinction – acquiring the rights to complete the title’s development.
Signing an agreement with administrator Tenon Recovery, the deal grants DC the rights to arrange a publishing deal for the game and any future sequels.
“We are extremely pleased to have added State of Emergency 2 to our portfolio,” commented DC Studios CEO Mark Greenshields. “We look forward to it being a huge success and to the continuation of the brand in the future.”
State of Emergency 2 is currently pencilled in for a Q4 release. DC will be showing the title to potential publishing partners at E3.
