The latest official Doctor Who Consumer Panel contains a few questions about a proposed Puzzle & Dragons style smartphone game.

"For the first time ever fans of Doctor Who will be able to interact with fifty years of beloved adventures, allies and enemies,” the proposal reads. “Travel backwards through the Doctor’s timeline to face his deadliest foes and meet his most memorable companions.

“Through this epic adventure you will build a formidable army of companions, allies and past regenerations to take down a foe whose actions threaten to rip the universe apart."

DoctorWhoNews even has some mock-up screens of the game.

A number of potential names are also offered – Legends of the Doctor, Legacy of Monsters, Adventures with Monsters, Puzzle War, Friends and Monsters, Puzzle Battle or Doctor Who: Legacy.

The Doctor’s last video game outing was PS3, Vita and PC outing Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock was slated by critics. The BBC’s free selection of Doctor Who: The Adventure Games was more successful although there are no new confirmed releases on the horizon.
