MCV can reveal that SCEA is currently in discussions to bring a number of Dreamcast titles exclusively to PSN.
Though the releases could yet go multiplatform, Sony is considering signing a dedicated long-term” exclusivity deal for the titles in return for offering additional marketing support.
As part of the possible agreement, Sony is currently cherry picking its preferred titles from the Dreamcast’s back-catalogue.
It’s possible that any titles not selected by SCEA could yet appear on the likes of Xbox Live Arcade and Virtual Console.
The move is a strong reply to the popular Virtual Console service offered on Wii and positions both PS3 and PSP as serious contenders in the growing retro games market.
