Dreamcast pack not heading to PS3

A boxed compilation of classic Dreamcast games will not arrive on PS3 when it hits shelves on February 25th.

Dreamcast Collection for Xbox 360 and PC includes Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5: Part 2. PC owners will also be able to download the entire collection digitally.

Despite the availability of Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi on XBLA and PSN, the compilation will not be released on PS3. However, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5: Part 2 will be available to download on XBLA and PSN in the spring.

The Dreamcast is still remembered as a pioneering console for online gaming,” said Sega’s VP of marketing Gary Knight.

We are delighted to offer our large community of dedicated fans Dreamcast Collection for them to enjoy old favourites on this generation of consoles.”

Sega previously confirmed the existence of the compilation last December.

The Dreamcast Collection will be released in North America on February 22nd – three days earlier than the UK and Europe.
