DS2 needs GPS and 3G

A DSiWare developer has suggested the next iteration of Nintendo’s DS would benefit from GPS and 3G connectivity.

Speaking to ONM, Nnooo Games’ creative director Nic Watt claimed these technologies would enable gamers to play online wherever you are”.

We would be able to add location-based features to games,” he added.

Rumours of a true successor to the Nintendo DS – as opposed to the DSi redesign – have ramped up over the last month or so after Japanese developers have claimed they are already working with a prototype of the new machine.
